About Us
Located in Rangiora, North Canterbury, the Jenna McKenzie School of Dance offers a range of dance lessons for young and adult students. With our spacious and modern studios, we create an inspiring and beautiful dancing environment.
We specialise in International Dance Teachers Association (IDTA) Classical Ballet, Asia Pacific Dance Association (APDA) Hip Hop, Contemporary, and Senior Jazz & New Zealand Academy of Modern Dance (NZAMD) Jazz and Junior Ballet. Our diverse programs cater to students of all ages and abilities.
We have annual performance, external examination, performance teams, workshop and competition opportunities.

The first half of the year the students learn syllabus grade work that includes technique, posture, performance, free movement and musical awareness. Then they have the opportunity to take an examination halfway through the year.
The second half of the year all students have the opportunity to take part in our Annual Performance in a theatre, aimed to encourage performance quality, self-confidence and teamwork.
Here at JMSD we are dedicated to ensuring dance classes are an enjoyable experience. Founded 24 years ago, we enjoy and endeavour to nurture self-esteem and friendship, and are focused on building confidence and a passion for dance in a fun magical environment.
